In 1972 on the Drill Field at Texas A&M University a professor named “Doc” Hall and a graduate student named Dave Gruber gathered 37 Aggies to form the first college lacrosse team in the state of Texas. In 2005, nearly 33 years later, a group of former players led by Dustin Childers gathered to celebrate the legacy of “Doc” Hall through the formation of the Charles F. “Doc” Hall Foundation benefiting the Texas A&M Men’s Lacrosse program.
The foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on the following goals:
- Fundraising
- Program development
- Alumni relations
- The parent network
- Job networking
- The growth of youth lacrosse in the BCS area
